About Sports4tots
The aim of Sports4tots is simple; to give as many kiwi kids as possible the opportunity to have a go, have fun and learn new skills. The kids in our weekly classes have fun playing games that focus on kicking, catching, throwing and balancing at age appropriate levels. We know you’ll love seeing your child’s confidence and ability develop week by week.
Lee Edwards – Director
In the UK, Lee was a semi-professional footballer for over 15 years and coached tennis to 5-12 year olds for 10 years.
In 2005 he immigrated to New Zealand with his family. As a stay at home dad of two young boys, Lee dedicated his time to keeping them active and healthy. He was constantly looking for playgroups and classes that would introduce his sons to fundamental sports skills and encourage their new kiwi lifestyle. Unable to find what he was looking for, Lee used his own sports experience and knowledge to develop the Sports4tots program.
Lee volunteers at his local football club where he is the midget and junior convener, responsible for 5-12 year olds. You’ll also find him helping out with his kids’ water polo and touch rugby teams.
